Adrienne Eberhard

Adrienne Eberhard was born in Dover, Tasmania, in 1964. She has an M.A. in twentieth century travel writing, and has travelled herself in Europe, the Pacific and Asia. Her poems and short stories have been published in a wide range of Australian journals including Southerly, Island, Westerly, Voices, Meanjin, Siglo and The Australian.

Adrienne's first collection of poems, Agamemnon's Poppies (Black Pepper Press, 2003) was awarded equal 2nd in the 2003/2004 Anne Elder award.

In February 2003, her poem, 'Earth, Air, Water, Fire: A Love Poem in Four Elements' was the only highly commended entry in the Josephine Ulrick Poetry Prize. She has also been the recipient of two Australia Council grants for new writing. She is currently working on a new manuscript of poems loosely based on gardens and family.
